LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 29, 2023) — Staley Technologies, headquartered in Little
Rock, Ark., announced today the hire of David DeCelles and Alex Purvis. DeCelles will
serve as strategic account manager and Purvis will serve as sales manager in Atlanta.
DeCelles is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) with more than
40 years experience in the industry. He most recently served as the RVP of Operations
at GC&E Systems Group LLC, where he was responsible for managing AT&T/CDC
contracts and special projects.
Purvis most recently worked as an account executive at Podium, an industry leader in
cloud-based software. At Staley, his responsibilities include managing the company’s
daily sales operations, leading a team of sales representatives, streamlining Staley’s
sales process and further embedding this system throughout the organization.

Both DeCelles and Purvis will report to Brown and are active members of their
community.
DeCelles proudly claims the role of retired coach for the Atlanta Vipers fastpitch softball
team, having led the team to a national title when his daughters played. DeCelles now
spends his free time playing with his grandchildren, traveling, and cooking and walking
his dogs with his wife. The couple enjoys being out on the lake and short getaways to
their family house in Hiawassee, Ga.
Puvis is also sports-oriented, officiating high school basketball in the Atlanta area and
participating in a local flag football team. As a leader, Purvis believes in the importance
of understanding individual goals and learning styles. According to him, understanding
people and knowing where they are in life and how they learn makes managing them
much easier, a practice that he’s been following for the entirety of his career.
DeCelles attended Shorter College and went on to study at the Chattahoochee
Technical Institute, where he earned his degree in Management and Supervisory
Development. He spent the first 12 years of his career in the inner-connect business
with ITT, Northern Telecom and AAA Business Communications. He then spent eight
years in Telecom Distribution with GTE Supply/Verizon Logistics, balancing his career in
senior management with Key Four and GC&E Systems Group. He has specialized
training in designing telecommunications distribution systems from Building Industry
Consulting Service International (BICSI) and OSHA Hazard Training for the construction
industry.
Purvis earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Georgia Southern University, and
his master’s degree in education at Florida Atlantic University. He brings a unique blend
of management, sales and leadership experience to Staley. Before joining, he worked in
the Atlanta area at Kennesaw State University and Springbot.
